wexford lavender farm

Share the passion for purple at Ireland’s first lavender farm. Located in the rolling Wexford countryside, Wexford Lavender Farm has a delightful variety of fun, family-friendly activities to entertain all the family.

Wander through the lavender field, soaking up the beautiful floral smell and experience the wonderful spectacle of thousands of lavender plants. Peak flowering season is from the end of June to early September, with the Wexford Lavender Farm growing English lavender “Munstead” and Dutch lavender “Grosso”.

Lavender is harvested during the summer months of July and August. The flowers have multiple uses, including the production of their very own organic essential oil. Tours are available of Wexford Lavender Farm where you can learn all about lavender and how the oil is extracted using a specialised “still”. Tours run every Saturday at 11.00am during July and August.

Younger visitors will love riding on Billy the friendly Bull; Wexford Lavender Farm’s quad train ride. The train ride is suitable for children aged 3 and upwards and is fully fitted with seatbelts. Or let the kids’ burn off some energy in the kids’ playground, with a small indoor playroom for very young children.

Enjoy the fresh Wexford air with a woodland walk at the farm. There are 3 routes available, ranging from a casual 2km to a longer 7km loop, suitable for all walking abilities. Paths are not suitable for buggies or wheelchairs.

Both adult and children’s workshops are available at Wexford Lavender Farm. Their unique adult’s workshop enables you to create and bring home your very own beautiful lavender wreath. Children’s arts and crafts workshops are on offer year-round, starting at Easter and featuring different seasonal activities.

The gift shop stocks many unusual products such as their own natural cosmetic range, organic lavender honey and different varieties of hardy lavender suitable for planting in your own garden. The Purple Haze Café is perfect for a bite to eat as you explore with your family, located in beautifully restored 19th-century stables.

Wexford Lavender Farm re-opens for the Easter holidays each year up to mid-September and weekends through December for Christmas.

Opening Times: 10.30am – 5.00pm Tuesday to Sunday (Closed Mondays except Bank Holidays).
