The Irish National Heritage Park gives an excellent view of life in Ireland through the ages. Begin your unforgettable journey through Ireland’s past at this award winning Heritage Centre. Explore reconstructed historical sites depicting life in Ancient Ireland, located on the picturesque surroundings of the River Slaney. Spread over 35 acres of woodland, wetland, estuary and high ground, the Irish National Heritage Park brings to life 9,000 years of Irish History. See, feel and touch Ireland’s history, with 16 separate full scale reconstructions showcasing some of the most important periods in our history.
Follow the Time Trial through the Irish National Heritage Park for a unique perspective on Ireland’s rich past. There are 3 time zones to explore – Prehistoric Ireland, Early Christian Ireland and Age of Invasion.

The Irish National Heritage Park is a great family day out, informative and fun. As well as touring the park, additional kids’ activities include:

The park boasts a great combination of history and nature. Explore the unique fen woodland with woodland trails, wildlife, plants and flowers. The broad meandering paths are both wheelchair and buggy friendly, while the walk up to the castle boasts spectacular views of Wexford and the River Slaney.
Guided tours are available at no extra cost to the admission rate, with guides dressed in historic costume. Pre booking for guided tours is essential. After a happy day spent exploring the Irish National Heritage Park, bring home a souvenir of your wonderful visit from the well-stocked gift shop. A restaurant, toilets and picnic facilities are available at the Visitor Centre.
The Irish National Heritage Park is situated approximately 3 miles from Wexford Town off the Dublin (N11) Rosslare Road (N25).
